Tuesday, 07 December 2010 00:00 | Written by George Holley

We hope all of you are enjoying this wonderful Advent season along with all the sights and sounds of the Christmas holiday. We are sure that by now many of you are busy with programs, preparations, and packages that have all become a part of this time of year. We find ourself still busy preaching revivals and will be continuing to do so through Dec. 17, before we get our Christmas break.

Report from Trinity Wesleyan Church in Oak Hill, Ohio

Wednesday, 17 November 2010 00:00 | Written by George Holley

We had such a good meeting last week (Nov. 7-10) at the Trinity Wesleyan Church in Oak Hill, OH with Pastor Fred Crabtree. The church was nearly full for every service and the front three pews were mostly occupied by teens. They were very faithful to come and were also very receptive and responsive to the preaching with several of them seeking God's help at the altar.

We enjoyed the inspiring and uplifting music of our dear friend, Major Young, who just happens to be the world's oldest teenager. If you would like to have him for a revival, concert, or other special event, you can contact him @ 6449 Blain Hwy., Chillicothe, OH 45601 or call (740)703-2157.

Several area ministers and churches were represented in the services. Among them were: Rev. & Mrs. Herman Stewart, Rev. & Mrs. Phil Ridenour, Rev. & Mrs. David Cogar from Oak Grove Wesleyan, & Rev. Bob Jones from Jackson Trinity CCCU. We were also so thankful that Rev. & Mrs. Stan Howard and the congregation from Oak Hill Evangelical Church dismissed their Sunday PM and Wednesday night services to be with us. We also had folks form Crown City Wesleyan Church, White Oak Baptist Church, and Jackson Good Shepherd Wesleyan. We are also pretty sure there were others represented that we were not aware of.

We are currently in revival in Lesage, WV at the Oak Hill United Brethern Church with Pastor Jamie Jefferson.

Revival Update - November 5, 2010

Saturday, 06 November 2010 02:12 | Written by George Holley

We have preached in four revivals since our last update back in the middle of October. We were at the Defender Methodist Church near Chesapeake, OH with Pastor Bill Flannery on October 17-20. We have preached for them nearly every year for about the last twenty years or so. They are very dear to us and have a special place in our heart. They treat us like family and are exceptionally good to us.

Revival Update

Saturday, 16 October 2010 00:00 | Written by George Holley

The long hours spent behind the wheel are being rewarded lately with the beautiful scenery of the changing fall colors. Although the leaves have not reached their vivid potential because of the dry conditions, the forest tapestry has proven that there are seasons when God doesn't think about "going green". :-)

Our first revival of this month was held on Oct. 3-6, at the Inglewood Church of the Nazarene in Nashville, TN with Pastor Andy & Katie Ingram. This young couple is doing a good job for their first pastorate. They are very involved in community projects and in the local public school reading program.

September Wrap-Up

Wednesday, 06 October 2010 00:00 | Written by George Holley

We finished out the month of September in Anderson, IN at the Lone Oak Wesleyan Church with Pastor Bill Thompson. We were there from September 26-29. Many of you may not know Pastor Bill but would be familiar with his grandfather, Rev. O.W. Willis. Bro. Willis is a well know Wesleyan evangelist and has preached for many years in revivals and camps throughout this country.

September 24 Update

Friday, 24 September 2010 00:00 | Written by George Holley

Fall has officially arrived but apparently someone failed to notify the thermometer. It has been in the mid 90's everywhere we have been lately. This is not a complaint, however, just an obvious observation knowing that winter will be here much too soon, ugh!

The Lord has continued to bless and move in our revival services. Last week, September 12-15, we were at the Elmwood Wesleyan Church in Cincinnati, OH with Pastor Jamison Moody. Although the crowds were not large, the help and presence of the Lord was very evident in each service. We appreciated Rev. Jack & Vicki Woodward and others that came from the Community Church near Middletown, OH and also, Rev. Lonnie Smithers and others that came from Daystar Worship Center in Cincinnati. It was also good to see Rev. David & Ann Fruth as they came to visit on Sunday night. We also appreciated our brother-in-law, Ray DeVault, for coming to every service. He and his wife live in the Elmwood community and are only a few blocks from the church.

Summer Summary

Wednesday, 15 September 2010 00:00 | Written by George Holley

We can't believe that summer has already come and gone but it is hard to deny all the evidence such as Labor Day weekend, college football, and cooler temperatures. We have been very busy since our last update. On July 14, we preached at the Licking Co. Church of God Camp in Newark, OH hosted by Pastor Tony Bartlett. Several hundred were in attendance and we wish we had been available to be with them for more than one service but we were glad to fit them in between two previous engagements. On July16, we had to travel to our next preaching point which was at the Mt. Carmel Camp Meeting in Van Cleve, KY on the campus of Mt. Carmel High School.

Fall Revival Update

Wednesday, 15 September 2010 00:00 | Written by George Holley

We are currently in our fifth revival since August 8, and the Lord has been doing some amazing things in these meetings. Our first fall revival was held on August 8-11, at the Lakeview Wesleyan Church in Rossville, GA with Pastor Myron Banther. This was our first time to have a meeting in Georgia and we were certainly glad to be with them. We first met them last year at the Tennessee District Camp in Jamestown, TN. Rossville is quite an historic Civil War area with the Chickamauga Battlefield located there and it is also in view of Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga.

Ministry Update- June and July

Wednesday, 07 July 2010 00:00 | Written by George Holley

It is so hard to believe that nearly six weeks have gone by since our last update was sent out on May 28. A lot of things have transpired since that time.

First of all, we had a good revival at the Bethel CCCU near Piketon, OH with Pastor Larry & Linda Moore on June 2-6. This was their first week as senior pastor at the church. They were replacing Pastor David & Linda Smith, who had to take early retirement because of health reasons. Music was provided by a male trio from the church called "Walk of Faith" as well as other local talent. Several area CCCU churches supported the revival in addition to Pastor Aaron Satterfield and others from the Hilltop Mission.

Update from Homeland Community revival

Friday, 28 May 2010 00:00 | Written by George Holley

Hope you are enjoying your Memorial Day weekend. We are certainly enjoying having some extra time off to catch up on some projects around the house and visiting with family and friends.

We just finished a good meeting at the Homeland Community Church in Parkersburg, WV with Pastor Brady & Jennifer Stephens and Pastor Russell & Diane Wooten. We had seekers at the altar nearly every service and heard some wonderful testimonies of what God had been doing in the hearts and lives of those who came. There was a genuine hunger and excitement for the Word of God in each of the services.
