Update from Coshocton Burt. Ave. Wesleyan
This past week we were at the Coshocton Burt Ave. Wesleyan Church in Coshocton, OH from May 2-5 with Pastor Rod & Joann Uhlig. Pastor Rod and the congregation have a ministry that has a strong emphasis on prayer along with deliberate community involvement. Several are involved in ministries through such outlets as Angel Food Distribution, Boy Scouts of America, Hope Clinic (free medical & spiritual care), and a local prison ministry.
Pastor Rod is also the president of the Coshocton Ministerial Association. Their influence, impact, and respect in the community was evident by the presence of at least fourteen churches being represented during the meeting. Pastor Andy Loos from Liberty Church, along with his praise team and young people, led worship for the service on Tuesday night. Pastor Mark Granger and others came from the New Life Ministries. Pastor John Jividen and others came from the Derwent CCCU. Pastor Ed Frank and family came from the Cambridge Solid Rock Wesleyan Church. Pastor Anderson and others came from the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Other churches represented were the Coshocton Baptist Church, the Warsaw Unithed Methodist Church, the Word Worship Center, the Gateway Fellowship Church, the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Roscoe United Methodist Church, the Coshocton Christian Tabernacle, and the Gospel Hill Church.
The meeting went very well and we had good liberty to preach in each of the services. There were several seekers at the altar for most of the nights. There was also a good spirit of unity throughout the entire revival even with all the denominational diversity.
We enjoyed taking our walks through this beautiful historic town. While staying at the Coshocton Village Inn & Suites, we could walk across the bridge to historic Roscoe Village, go by the old Erie Canal boat and on around Lake Park and back for a four mile trip. We were so thankful the weather was nice enough to enable us to do this for three of the days while there.
This coming week will find us at the Ashland Heights Wesleyan Church with Pastor Gordon Tilley from May 9-12. We hope all of you precious ladies have a Very Blessed and Happy Mother's Day tomorrow.
Thanks for your continued faithful prayer and financial support of this ministry.
Together for souls,
George & Pattie
P.S. Some of you have been praying and have asked about my brother and his wife. Some good news, my brother's wife, Kay, found out this week that her numbers are now in the 190's and she is considered in remission, Priase the Lord!!! She will now be undergoing a stem cell procedure perhaps sometime in June. Some not so good news, my brother had a bad reaction to one of the medicines in his chemo and broke out with hives and had severe iching this past week that required treatment with steroids, benadryl, and antibiotics. He had another chemo treatment yesterday so please pray that there are no more allergic reactions.
